Kevin H. Block, 56, of Rock Island, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.

Memorial Mass will be 10:00 AM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Per Kevin's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be left to the family.

Kevin was born November 15, 1958, in Chicago, the son of Herbert and Dorothy (O'Malley) Block. He married Kim Udy-Lowry on April 10, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV. Kevin worked for John Deere PDC as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed music, his favorite was rhythm and blues, and playing his guitar. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He will be known for never putting himself first, and always lending a helping hand. He always had a good sense of humor, and will be remembered saying "I am the real Batman."

Survivors include his wife Kim Block, Rock Island; daughter, Heidi (Daniel Henderson) Lowry, Rock Island; daughter-in-law, Erica (David Wallace) Lowry, Rock Island; grandchildren, Cyan, Drake, Bryce, Raven, Heaven, Jevon, and Dayvanee; 3 sisters, Pat (Jeff Felter) Frerkes, New Mexico; Debbie (Mike) Hughes, Michigan; Susan (David) Ebeling, New Mexico; mother-in-law, Mary Udy, Rock Island; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, DJ Lowry.
