Kevin Ray Parson, 57, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 at his home.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Kevin was born June 19, 1960 in Cairo, IL, a son of Emporer "E. W." and Luria Joplin Parson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. Kevin enjoyed reading, history and collecting coins.

Surviving are his children, Tauffea Parson, Decatur, IL, Quachee Parson, Decatur, IL, Ranisha Parson, Cincinnati, OH, Kevina Lard, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Solomon Parson, Rock Island, IL; six grandchildren; sisters, Mary Johnson, Olmsted, IL, Janie Gunter, Rock Island, and Claria Love, Tamms, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior Parson, Sr., Steve Parson, James Parson, Nemon Parson and William Parson; and sister, Addie Laverne Williams.
