Khalil Da'kaven McGee , 26, of Rock Island, Ill., passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Davenport, Iowa.

Live-streamed services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, with Minister Elizabeth Wells officiating, and may be viewed at wheelanpressly.com/live stream/rock island. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m.  to 3:00 p.m. Friday, prior to services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Khalil was born November 25, 1994 in Moline, Illinois, a son of Shandra Bland and Kevin McGee. He was raised in Rock Island and Springfield, Mo. Khalil was a loving son, brother and uncle.

Khalil enjoyed being with family, making jokes and eating toast. His favorite artist was NBA YoungBoy.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shandra Bland; father, Kevin McGee, Sr.; stepmother, Laurie Bredar; sisters, Kiara McGee, Kania Pullman and Kamiah McGee; brother, Kevin McGee, Jr.; grandmothers, Dorothy McGee and Sheila Wilson; grandfather, Paul Johnson; niece, Maleiah McGee; nephew, Makari McGee; and aunts, Kimberly (Steve Sims) and Paula Grant; and a host of additional aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Khalil was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael E. McGee; and cousin, Michael D. McGee.
