Kristine A. Ehlers, 74, formerly of Milan, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Kris was born October 15, 1949, in Moline, the daughter of Thomas and Lottie (Talik) Wilson. She attended Rock Island High School. Kris married John Ehlers in November 1966. She moved to Tennessee after her husband retired. Kris enjoyed going to Texas for the winter months. She loved playing cards and shuffleboard with her winter Texas friends. Above all, she loved her 15-year-old dog, Abby.

Survivors include her children, Cindy Peoplis and John "Buddy" (Christal) Ehlers, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kayla Ehlers, Zachary Ehlers, J.R. Ehlers (Halley), Beth Ehlers, and A.J. Ehlers; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Tyler, Raelynn, Emerson, Hensley, and Presleigh; sister, Marlene "Cis" Drish; brothers, Mike (Sheree) Wilson and Danny (Toni) Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brother, David Wilson.
