Kyle Alan Sproston, 40, of Port Byron, formerly of Geneseo, died of complications of an illness on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home.  A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Kyle was born in Rock Island on March 3, 1977, a son of Robert Doyle and Rita Carton Sproston.  Kyle last worked for National Railway Equipment Company in Silvis.

Kyle enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to country music and grilling and smoking food.  He loved spending time with his children.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Brooke, Layne and Kais Sproston; mother, Rita Sproston, Geneseo; brothers, Shawn Eugene Sproston and his fiancé, Kala Maes, and Will (Theresa) Schwerdt, both of Geneseo; grandfather, Robert Carton, Rock Island; special family, Chuck (Chris) Price and Randall Price; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Gene and Margaret Sproston and Mary Evelyn Carton.
