Lanny C. McCorkle, 76, of Milan, IL, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.

Lanny was born on March 22, 1946 in Rock Island, the son of Wilmer and Dorothy (Darwin) McCorkle.  He was the owner/operator of the West End Body Shop.  Lanny collected clocks, antique guns, RC cars, and helicopters.  He was an avid reader, and had vast knowledge on History.  Lanny enjoyed electronics and technology.  They say he was a student of everything and a master of anything.

Lanny is survived by his children, Doreen (Richard) Von Maur, Mitchell (Tatiana) McCorkle, and Cassandra (George) Bernauer; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and his life partner, Nancy Prescott.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
