ROCK ISLAND – Larry Arthur David, 83, of Rock Island passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Promedica Rehabilitation, Moline. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM with the funeral service following at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Larry was born June 19, 1939 in Rock Island, the son of Howard A. and Lila G. (Johnston) David. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1957. Larry then served in the United States Navy from April 1963 to March 1965.

On January 21, 1967 he was united in marriage to Nathalie Ohanesian. The couple made their home in Rock Island where they raised their children.

He was employed by Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Company for 30 years retiring in December 1995. In retirement, Larry continued to follow his passion for wood working through projects for family, friends, and neighbors.  In addition to wood working Larry was an avid gardener and took great pride in a well-manicured lawn.

Survivors include his wife, Nathalie, of 56 years; children, Cary A. (Kathy) David of Woodstock, GA. and Sherry L. (Mark) Duin of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Ella David, Ries David and Wyatt Duin. Brother, Jerry (Jenny) David of Rockridge. In-laws, George Ohanesian, Ray Ohanesian, Lu (Joe) Benac, Marge Hiatt, Sophie Foster all of Bettendorf.
