Larry W. Owens, 68, of Milan, passed away Monday September 26, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home . Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.

Larry was born on August 13, 1948 in Kingsport, TN, the son of Robert C. and Myrtle Owens. He married Maggie Luce Sisco in 1979 in Rock Island.

Mr. Owens had been employed as a forklift operator at the former Eagles Warehouse, Milan, retiring in 1998.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and hanging with his friends, especially Ron. Larry also enjoyed watching Nascar, boating, restoring his 1989 Mustang and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie; children, Larry Owens Jr., Bettendorf, Sean Owens, Delmar, IA; Kim Frank, Davenport, Linda (Chris) Damewood, Athens, TN, Patti (Van) Willows, Davenport; grandchildren, Noah, Madison, Gregory, Marti, Mathew, Kalynn, Anthony, Johnathan, Nicholas, Stephanie, Kyle, Travis; 2 great grandsons; sisters, Joyce Melear, Wanda Ball; brothers, Walter Owens and Ron Owens; his dogs, Brutus and Fancy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike and 2 brothers.
