Larry R. Pankey, 70, of Rock Island, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Generations, Rock Island. Graveside services for Mr. Pankey will be 2:30 pm, Friday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted. Those wishing to attend the services at the National Cemetery should meet at 2pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Larry was born on September 9, 1947 in Moline, a son of James "Kenneth" and Edna "Lee" Stockton Pankey. Larry worked as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include a daughter, Kerry Shuh, Milan; son, Justin Pankey, Rock Island; sister, Sharry Schulz, Wrightsville, PA.; and grandchildren, Karl Shuh Jr., and Amanda Bowers.Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenny Lee Pankey.
