Larry D. Watts, 83, of East Moline, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Graveside services for Mr. Watts will be 10 am, Tuesday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246. Those wishing to attend the services at the National Cemetery should meet at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island at 9:30 am on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Larry was born on February 7, 1939, in Melbourne, Iowa, a son of Lyle and Florence (Edwards) Watts. He married Ginko Mizutani on November 17, 1965, in Tokyo, Japan. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2013. Larry worked at the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station for many years before his retirement. He was a member of VFW Post 480, San Diego, California. He enjoyed gardening. Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include a brother, Wayne Watts, Melbourne, a sister, Debra Sue Watts; and several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ginko; siblings, Mary Ann Blessing, Richard Watts, and Dixie Cossel.
