Larry R. Williamson, 72, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Graveside services for Mr. Williamson will be Friday at 12:00 pm at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post No. 246. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Larry was born on June 17, 1952, in Rock Island, the son of Russell and Edith (Skinner) Williamson. He married Carol Nesbitt on July 24, 1976, in Rock Island. Mr. Williamson retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. He enjoyed Euchre, fishing, the Chicago Bears, and professional wrestling. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. Larry was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Heather Williamson, Silvis; grandchildren, Christopher Williamson Jr., and Addison Williamson; special cousin and best friend, Dennis Bradley; and special nephew, Jeronnie Steward.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Willie Ashby; and a sister, Monica Williamson.
