Laura M. Martin, 93, of Milan, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Good Samaritan, Davenport.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Those wishing to attend, please meet at 10:00 a.m. at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 East 4th Avenue, Milan to drive in procession.

Laura was born June 24, 1933 in Gilson, IL, the daughter of George and Irene (Johnson) Stegens. She married Dale Lee Martin on November 13, 1948 in Hernando, MS. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2006.

Laura retired in 2001 as the owner and operator of Style Shop, Rock Island after 35 years.

Laura was a member of Milan United Methodist Church, Milan Eastern Star Chapter 326 and Royal Neighbors, Rock Island. She enjoyed fishing and going on the boats.

Survivors include her half-brother, Lesley Stegeus, Galesburg, and special friend, Jan Elliott, Bettendorf, her children, Mischelle and Chris and her grandchildren, Samuel, Spencer, Topher and Rusti. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Iver Halverson, step-mother, Patsy Stegens, brother, Harold Stegens and sister-in-law, Evelyn Stegens.
