Obituary

Laura Randolph, 75, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday January 19, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be Noon on Tuesday at Westside Assembly of God Church, Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-7:00pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Additional visitation will be Tuesday from 11am to service time at the church.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be left to the family.
Laura was born to Ike and Lori Westerfield in Dekalb, Ms on June 25, 1940 she was the youngest of 10 children.
Above all else Laura was a faithful Christian and a "Child of God".
In 1956 she Married Howard Earl Davis in Dekalb Ms.
Later she married Married Robert Lee Randolph who she loved till the day she went home to God.
She moved to Davenport, Iowa in 1963 where she earned her barbers degree and worked at Joes Barber Shop. Later she began a career at John Deere Davenport Works where after 30 years she retired.
Lauras house was a safe haven for all the kids in the neighborhood and where they would all congregate. Most of them thought of her as their second mother and many of them called her Mom.
Lauras greatest desire was that her family would be saved.
She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Church of God and Christ for many years. Laura was active in Politics, the UAW, and many local civic and religions organizations.
Laura had a passion for praising the Lord through song and sang with the local gospel group "The Anointed Voices of Praise".
Laura loved to be on the go, and you would see her at many local functions events.
Laura is survived by her husband Robert Lee Randolph, and her eight children: Ealvin Davis, Davenport, Ia; Phyliss Fuller (Timothy), Davenport, Ia; Debra Walker (William), Davenport, Ia; Howard Davis(Deshalice), Davenport, Ia; Lemuel Davis, Davenport, Ia; Terrance Davis, Davenport, Ia; Robert H. Randolph, Ina, Ill, James C. Randolph(Misty), Davenport, Ia, 32 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grand Children.
She was preceded in death by her Father her Mother one Daughter and 10 siblings.
Laura will be remembered dearly by all that knew her. she touched many hearts.
