It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lauren Allison Hall, age 32, of Reynolds, Illinois, who left this world unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, as the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident. Lauren's spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 801 W. Edgington Street, Reynolds, Illinois 61279. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Lauren will be laid to rest at Reynolds Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family to establish an education fund for her beloved son, Gentry Dalton Hall, ensuring that his future is bright and full of opportunities. Lauren was born on November 4, 1992, in Geneseo, Illinois, to Mitch and Lisa Nelson Gentry. She married, Shawn Hall, on May 21, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in Reynolds. A dedicated individual, Lauren earned an associate's degree and was currently pursuing her nursing degree while working as a groomer at City Line Veterinary in Moline, Illinois. She had a deep passion for animals and was known for her unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Lauren embodied the spirit of a cowgirl, finding joy in all things horses. She participated in several show teams during her college years and thrived in the outdoors, indulging her adventurous side with Shawn and Gentry in activities such as barrel racing, boating, hunting and fishing on the river. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially the precious moments shared with her son, Gentry, whom she cherished deeply and awarded many life experiences. Lauren is survived by her loving husband, Shawn Hall; her treasured son, Gentry Dalton Hall; her devoted parents, Mitch and Lisa Gentry; her brother, Logan (Kaleena) Gentry and their children, Myers and Sloane; her grandparents, Richard Gentry and John and Eyvonne Nelson; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is also survived by her dogs, Cahill, Amos and June, cat, Veeta and horses, Roxy, Swayze, Bellini and Gunner. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Pat Gentry, and her great-grandmother, Evelyn Bickers.
