Lawrence "Larry" L. Lindbom, 86, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his home.

Private Graveside services and inurnment will be held at a later date in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a personal sympathy card may be shared with the family in care of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island 61201.

Larry was born on September 1, 1937, in Davenport, IA, the son of Lawrence Everett and Isabell (Giberson) Lindbom. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving from 1956 to 1960.  He married Betty Jean Adams on September 5, 1958 in Defuniak Springs, FL. She preceded him in death on August 4, 2018. Larry worked as a welder for Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric for 40 years. He was a longtime member of Bettendorf Christian Church.

Larry was a member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, NRA, and the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He also spent time as a civil war reenactor. He enjoyed hunting and antiquing.

Left to cherish Larry's memory are his children, Cynthia Lindbom, Tipton, IA, Richard (Suzanne) Lindbom and Kristina Kaye (Larry) Zellmer, all of Pleasant Valley, IA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
