Lawrence A. Milner, 82, of Taylor Ridge, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded.  There will be no services.  Memorials may be made in care of The ARC of the Quad Cities.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, is assisting the family.

Lawrence was born in Colorado on May 20, 1938, the son of Maurice and Affie Mae Hannah Milner.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  Lawrence married Roma Kleinjan on September 1, 1961 in Sherman, Texas.

Lawrence received a master's degree from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo.  He retired as an engineer from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1994.

Lawrence enjoyed hiking and loved spending time with his sons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Roma Milner, Taylor Ridge; sons, John (Zelda) Milner, Tulsa, Okla. and Marc Milner, Rock Island; and sister, Margaret (Jerry) Shofer, St. Joe, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
