Lee Michael Schmidt, 62, of Aledo, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 801 W. Edgington Street, Reynolds. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery.

Lee was born March 8, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa, to Bernard and Mardelle (Wulf) Schmidt. He graduated from Rockridge High School in 1979. Lee worked as an assembler for Lift Systems for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Lee enjoyed gardening and tending to his chickens. He was also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Those left to cherish Lee's memory include his daughters, Sarah (Steven) Dunlop and Kristin (Jake) Kadel; grandchildren, Della, Rowan, Emery, and one on the way; siblings, Grant (Debbie) Schmidt, Bradley (Lisa) Schmidt, and Kathleen (Kevin) Dean; special friend, Linda; and several nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
