LeeLynn Housby, 67, of Silvis, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made in care of the family to establish a college fund for LeeLynn's grandson, Tony Fletcher.

LeeLynn was born in Moline, Ill. on January 12, 1947, a daughter of Robert and Audrey Schoonover Cox. She married Dennis Housby on April 24, 2004 in Moline.

LeeLynn worked 32 years for Nestle Purina, formerly known as Ralston's in Davenport and retired in 2004.

LeeLynn was a very active member at Cornerstone Church, Moline, and with animal rescue.

Survivors include: her husband, Dennis Housby, Yorkville, Ill.; daughter, Stacey Fletcher, Yorkville; grandson, Tony Fletcher, Yorkville; step-children, Dennis (Desire) Housby Jr., Josh Housby and Timmy (Jesi) Housby, all of Rock Island, and David and Nicholas Housby, both of Yorkville; step-grandchildren, Shawn, Jacob, Lucas, Ashley, Melanie and Zach Housby; brothers, Robert Cox, Ore. and Charles (Janna) Cox, Davenport; sisters, Corrindi (Ernie) Jacks, Silvis and Connie (Gary) Neer, East Moline; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Margaret Housby; and many other special family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mike Cox.
