Leonard Curry, 86, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday March 18, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
Services will be 1:00pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island.
Leonard was born on November 18, 1928 in Bloomington, IL.
Mr. Curry was the owner and operator of an insulation company.
Leonard was one of the founding members of Disciples Uniting in the Quad Cities, which was instrumental in constructing the Morning Star Senior Living Community in Moline. A residence hall at Morning Star was named in his honor.
Survivors include his wife Virginia; children, Teresa (Dave) Cook, Tom Curry, Dusty Williams; grandchildren, Andy Cook, Dustin Williams, Brian Williams, Lucy Williams, Nathan Curry, Joshua Curry, Amber Curry and Gabriel Curry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Alan Curry.

Leonard was a United States Marine Corps. Veteran having served during World War II.
