Leonard Norman Geifman, 77, of Bettendorf, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Services for Mr Geifman will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri-City Jewish Center, 2715-30th Street, Rock Island. Burial will be at the Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made at the Tri-City Jewish Center or to the American Cancer Society. Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Leonard was born on May 8, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa, son of Morris H. Geifman and Reeve Packer Geifman. Leonard Geifman was the Vice President of Produce and Nonfoods at the Geifman Food Stores before his retirement. Leonard was a member and past board member of Congregation Beth Israel at the Tri-City Jewish Center, Rock Island. He was a former board member of the Hebrew Cemetery Association. He was also a member of the American Cancer Society, and B'nai Brith. Leonard enjoyed volunteering for the American Cancer Society, various literacy programs and driving for Meals on Wheels of Scott County. Survivors include his life partner, Vicki Arnold, Bettendorf; children, Bonnie Dickason, Tucson AZ, Alisa (Sandor) Rogoff, Cave Creek AZ, Brad Geifman, Tucson AZ; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jill, Lexi and Eliya; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Chase; and sister, Sharon Geffen.
