Leslie K. Dennison, 64, of Sherrard, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, from a tragic boat accident at Table Rock Lake, Branson, Mo.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Sherrard Cemetery, Sherrard.  Memorials may be made in care of the family to establish a memorial fund at a later date.

Leslie was born in Moline, Ill. on September 1, 1953, a daughter of George and Kay Sodeman Lawton.

She had been working the last 38 years at Augustana College as a member of the dining services team.   Her peers nominated her for the highest employee services award, which she won in 2014.

Leslie loved spending time with her family.  She was also a dog lover.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Brian Dennison, Milan, Todd Dennison, Sherrard and Douglas (Renee) Dennison, Matherville; mother, Kay Lawton, Walcott, Iowa; grandchildren, Mordecai Mundy and Alicia, Todd Jr., Austin and Blair Dennison; brothers, George Lawton, Davenport and Steve (Starla) Lawton, East Moline; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
