Lester R. Bales, 53, of East Moline, formerly of Mediapolis, IA, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his residence.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Lester was born on May 5, 1963 in Quincy, IL, the son of Joseph Sr. and Betty Lou (Frieteug) Bales.  He married Debbie Burch on June 22, 2004 in Las Vegas, NV.  Lester worked as a die caster for Quad City Die Cast.

Lester is survived by his wife, Debbie Bales; father and step-mother, Joseph Bales Sr. and Melba Bales; step-children, Gina (John) McNeal and John (Nicole) Wilson; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Joseph (Candy) Bales Jr., Sue Bales, Wesley "Scott" Bales, and Robin Bales; and step-brother, Kevin Slayden.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Bales  and nephew, Justin Bales.
