Lester L. McKay, 95, of Milan, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Unity Point Health - Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Memorial Park, Rock Island following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Honor Flight.

Lester was born May 23, 1919, in Rock Island County, the son of William and Fannie (Mosher) McKay. He was employee and retired from AT&T (Pioneer) Telephone Company. Lester was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Army. He enjoyed doing yardwork, NY Times crossword puzzles, and watching basketball.

Lester is survived by his niece; two great nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mert Keifer.
