Lillie Elizabeth Nelson, 20, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the Family House, Peoria.

Lillie was born on March 22, 2001 in Rock Island, Illinois, a daughter of Kenneth and Tina Hart Nelson.

Lillie was a LEGO fanatic.  She could also be considered a mermaid who loved anything to do with water including, water tables, swimming pools and the bath tub.  She enjoyed listening to a variety of loud music and loved having her mother, Tina, read to her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Kenneth and Tina Nelson, Rock Island; brother, Brandon Nelson, Davenport; maternal grandparents, Lillie (Mario Ruiz) Hurtado and Larry Lee (Linda Spears) Hart Sr.; honorary grandparents, Linda (Mike) Cathecart; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Isaiah Kenneth Cory Nelson, paternal grandparents, Maurice and Donna Nelson and grandpa, Jose Hurtado.
