Linda C. Bopes, 80, of Moline passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, surrounded by family at Silver Cross Pavilion at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 20th at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 19th at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a fund to be established at a later date.

Linda was born on April 15,1943 in Rock Island, IL, a daughter of Gearold and Cecile McMahill. She married Daniel "Dan" F. Bopes in October of 1973. Linda owned and operated Linda's Beauty Nook in East Moline for many years, while also working at Helzberg Diamonds in Moline. Her hobbies included bowling and going to the casino. Linda was loved by many and greatly enjoyed spending time with family, especially her husband, Dan.

Those left to cherish Linda's memory include her husband, Dan Bopes, Moline; children, Leah Turnmire, Moline and Craig (Julie) Bopes, Charleston, SC; stepson, Jeff Bopes, Hawaii; grandchildren Travis and Morgan Turnmire, Madeline Bopes, Eric Bopes, Amber Bender, Chantel Cannon, and Tegan and Holly Moreland; several great grandchildren; brothers, Monte and Lanny McMahill; and sister, Margo Jackson.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary McMahill.
