Linda L. Patsche, 69 of Silvis, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services are 10 am Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7 Ave., Rock Island. Visitation is 3 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, or to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Linda Louise Rankin was born Apr. 29, 1948 in Monmouth, Ill., a daughter of George E. and Louise M. Efaw Rankin. She married Albert J. Patsche on July 2, 1983 in Rock Island. Linda graduated from the Roseville, Ill., Unit Schools in 1966. She then graduated from the Registered Nurse program at the Peoria Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. Linda received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 1984. She worked as a registered Nurse at Community Memorial Hospital in Monmouth, Ill., from 1969 - 1976 and at Moline Public/United Medical Center, Moline from 1976-1990. At the time of her retirement in 2004, Linda was working for the Child Abuse Council as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Helpline for Parents program. She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, the Illinois Nurses Association and DOVIA (Directors of Volunteers in Agencies). Survivors include her husband, Albert; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Bryan Jackson, Chicago; brother, Richard (Linda) Rankin, Warren, Ill.; sister, Mary (Stu) Trask, Jerseyville, Ill.; aunt, Erma Young, Macomb, Ill.; brothers-in-law, Walter (Ellen) Patsche, North Versailles, Penn., and Matthew Patsche, Espyville, Penn.; and many cousins and friends, including special friends, Jim and Lisa Betsworth.
