Linda L. Roberts, 71, of Rock Island, passed away at her home Thursday, April 6, 2023. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 4-7:00 PM at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. The funeral service for Linda will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be established.

Linda was born on June 29, 1951, in Perry Iowa, a daughter of Orville and Louise (Mueller) Salzgeber. She married Harold Roberts on October 6, 1973, in Rock Island. The couple made their home in Rock Island where they raised their son.

Linda started her career at the Rock Island County Health Department in November of 1979. She worked there for almost 37 years until retiring as the Director Human Recourses, PRN in July of 2016.

Linda was a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, Weight Watchers, and the Great River Human Society.

She liked sitting her in swing on the deck and drinking coffee and reading. Linda also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and when the weather is nice walking along the river with her husband and taking day trips. She loved her family, especially her two grandchildren. Linda was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, and sister.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Harold, Rock Island; son Patrick (Shana) Roberts, Hampton; grandchildren, Trent and Hailey; siblings, Jerry and Karla Salzgeber, nephew Scott (Heather), niece Mega (Grant) Burrow, Texas; Jay and Rhonda Salzgeber, nephew Shay (Megan) Texas; cousins Kelly Willis; Kourtney Gozalka; Kate Read; Cody Willis.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father.
