Linda L. Williams, 73, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha, Iowa. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th Street, Rock Island. Visitation is one-hour prior from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.

Linda was born on October 19, 1949, in Moline, a daughter of Aldus and Vada (Wherry) Gridley. She graduated from Aledo High School, Class of 1967. Linda then married Thomas E. "Tom" Williams on September 20, 1969 in Aledo, Illinois. She worked as a bookkeeper in nursing for 25 years, retiring in 2007. Linda was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island. She enjoyed writing, watching television, fishing, and playing bingo. Linda also liked going to garage sales, auctions, and the casino. Above all, Linda cherished time spent with her family.

Those left to honor Linda's memory include her daughters, Amanda Williams and Tarrah (Brian) Smith; and granddaughters, Lydia and Emily Skelton.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Tom.
