Lisa Ann (Miles) Gisel, 61, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Grace Church PC (USA), Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center.

Lisa was born February 7, 1963, in Rock Island, a daughter of Henry and Zelma (Lear) Miles. She graduated from Moline High School in 1981 and earned her bachelor's degree from Marycrest College in Davenport. She worked as a career planner at the Iowa Workforce Development.

Lisa was very involved at Grace Church PC (USA) and the former South Park Presbyterian Church, both in Rock Island. At South Park Presbyterian Church, she served as an Elder. At Grace Church PC (USA) she taught Sunday school.

Lisa liked mid-century modern and antiquing. She also enjoyed live music and dancing, especially at concerts in the park. Lisa had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you smile. Above all, Lisa loved her family and cats (fur babies).

Those left to cherish Lisa's memory include her longtime partner, Perry Hultgren; siblings, Donald Miles, Janet (Miles) Day, and Lynn (Miles) Dietz (Erick Danielson); sisters-in-law, Pam Miles and Pamela Hultgren; brother-in-law, Terry Gordon; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Miles; sister, Sue Gordon; and sister-in-law, Cecily Miles.
