Logene S. Wickwire, 90, of Davenport, died Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, followed by a eulogy honoring her life. Private inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care at the Genesis Health Services Foundation, 1227 E. Rusholme St., Davenport, IA 52803.

Logene was born on October 14, 1930 in Wayne, Nebraska, a daughter of Alfred G. and Mary (Wolvington) Sydow. She married Robert A. Wickwire on December 5, 1949 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2017. Logene and Bob had an active retirement for many years, living on a golf course in Florida, playing bridge, and traveling the world. They returned to the Quad Cities in 2010 and lived in Garner Place in Davenport where they made many new friends.

Those left to cherish Logene's memory include her daughters, Kathryn Wickwire, Oak Park, Ill., and Dr. Karen Wickwire (Spike Bloom), Davenport; son, James Wickwire, Moline; granddaughters, Grace and Claire Wickwire, Moline; and several nieces and nephews.

Logene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Murle Sydow; sister-in-law, Donna Frederic on July 28, 2021; and daughter-in-law, Jeannette Wickwire.
