Lois M. Hauman, 93, of Milan, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Avonlea Cottage, Milan.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan.  A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Tuesday followed by visitation from 3:30-7 p.m. at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.  Memorials may be made in care of Alleman High School or the Milan Christian Food Pantry.

Lois was born in Alexis, Ill. on February 12, 1923, a daughter of Arthur and Inez Petrie Sharp.  She married Ernest A. Hauman in Rock Island on December 16, 1944.  He preceded her in death on June 21, 2006.

Lois worked at the office of the circuit clerk in Rock Island County for 19 years and retired in 1985.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan, and the Blue Cross Medical Mission of the Church.  When her vision was good, she enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, knitting and sewing her own clothes.  She also enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling with her husband and family, lunching with friends and spending time with family.

Survivors include her children, Patricia (Bill) Curry, Milan and Charles (Pam) Hauman, Rock Island; grandchildren, James Curry, Moline, Daniel (Drue) Curry, Milan, Michael (Judie) Curry, Frisco, Texas, Lisa (Peter) Hosutt, Bel Air, Md., Eric Hauman, Bettendorf and Jason Hauman and his fiance, Brandi Owens, Coal Valley; great-grandchildren, Josh, Tessa, Alyson, Emma, Taylor, Katie, Aaron and Sean; great-great-granddaughter, Elliana; brother, John "Jack" (Charlotte) Sharp, Rio, Ill.; and a special friend and nephew, Warren Herzberg Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Martha Dublo and Fern Herzberg.
