Lois P. Hemm, 75, of Moline, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Services for Mrs. Hemm will be 9 am, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be established at a later date.

Lois P. McMeekan was born on September 5, 1943 in Rock Island, a daughter of Dallas and Leona (Hurstrom) McMeekan. She married Donald Hemm on July 30, 1960 in Aledo. Lois worked a secretary at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island for 30 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, flower arranging, refinishing furniture and dancing. She especially loved spending time with her family and her grandson, Donnie.

Survivors include her daughters, Ronda Smith, Moline, Angela (Ron) Wuestenberg, Milan; grandson, Donnie (Jesi) Litwiler, Orion; great grandchildren, Kylie and Korbin; siblings, Franklin "Mick" (Janet) McMeekan, East Moline, Larry (Judy) McMeekan, Sherrard.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Ricky Hemm; siblings, Lyle, Robert, Melvin, Bernice, Berniece, Max and DeWayne.
