Loma E. Nesbitt, 93, of Moline, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery.

Loma was born on March 24, 1930, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Bernard and Freida (Weigel) Breitenstein.  She cleaned at the Rock Island Arsenal for over 45 years.  In her spare time, she could be found selling Avon products, and was inducted into the President's Club for many years.  Loma was an active member of First Baptist Church, Rock Island.  She assisted in the kitchen for all their parties and activities.  Loma loved the outdoors, especially gardening, canning, and taking long daily walks.  She also cherished her time with family and friends.

Loma is survived by her children, Gerald (Sheila) Nesbitt and Teresa (Gary) Parks; grandchildren, Eric and Chris Nesbitt, and Nathan Williams; great grandchildren, Angelo Williams, Greyson "Levi" Schold, Hunter Nesbitt, and Morgan and Clayton Nesbitt; great-great grandchild Ellieana Nesbitt; and brother, Richard Breitenstein.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Nesbitt.
