Lori R. Hodge, 51, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday January 21, 2017 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday at Heritage Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to the Heritage Church Assistance Fund.

Lori was born on September 10, 1965 in Rock Island, the daughter of Richard and Shirley (Freimark) Kinkaid. She married Michael Hodge on September 5, 2014 at Heritage Wesleyan Church, Rock Island.

She had been employed by Rock Island School District as a secretary at Earl Hanson Elementary and previously with Rock Island County Education Office. Lori had also been blessed to be a stay at home mom when her two daughters were young.

Mrs. Hodge was a member of Heritage Church, Rock Island. She loved being a mother and grandmother more than anything. Lori enjoyed reading, traveling especially to the beach and Wisconsin Dells, was a avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; mother, Shirley Kinkaid; daughters, Megan (Ryan) Smith, Davenport, Sarah DeSpain(Antonio Eckhart), Rock Island; step children, Haley Hodge, Moline, Harrison Hodge, Hampton; Grandson, Paxton Smith; siblings, Cindy(Richard) Wilt, Julie Rind, Michael Kinkaid and Chuck Kinkaid.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard and brother, Danny Lee.
