Lori Ann Landbo, 64, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026. Lori was born on March 21, 1962. Lori was a resident of Hilliard, Ohio with deep roots in Rock Island, Illinois. Lori was a 1980 graduate of Rock Island High School and a 1985 graduate of Augustana College. She obtained a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Music. Lori was a proud member of the Rock Island Marching Band and continued to play the flute into college. When Lori moved to Ohio, she began a career in preschool education. She also taught private piano lessons. Lori had a soft spot for animals including her most recent companion, Oreo. Lori was a member of the ASPCA and Humane Society of America. Lori loved Christmas, Hallmark movies, holidays with family and Chicago sports. Lori was preceded in death by her loving parents Fred and Carol Lear of Rock Island, Illinois; grandparents Edgar and Helen Johnson; and her aunt Lou Johnson. Lori is survived by her devoted partner, Tom Baker; her only sibling, brother Dr. Chris (Lyn) Lear; nephew Ethan Lear (Alexis Engels); niece Sydney Lear (Eric Bjork); uncle Fred (Ginny) Behnken; and uncle David Johnson. Lori demonstrated a sweet spirit, a passion for working with children, and a love for music education.
