Lori A. Schmacht, 56, of Osco, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services are 11 am on Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan.  Visitation is 5 to 7 Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lori Anne Roach was born June 16, 1961 in Rock Island, a daughter of Bernard and Clara Depoorter Roach.   She married Dan B. Schmacht on May 5, 1982 in Des Moines.

Lori graduated from Rock Island High School in 1980.  She was currently working at Beck's in Geneseo, but Lori was a caregiver for most of her life working at the former Oak Glen Home and at several area hospitals.

She enjoyed gardening and was a Master Gardener.

Survivors include her husband, Dan; sons, Zeb of Iowa and Zane of Osco; seven grandchildren; sisters, Martha, Sara, Mary, and Rita; brothers, Pat, Bernie and John; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Roach and Clara Jackson; son, Zachary; sister, Colleen; and brother, Bob.
