Lucille Alma Guilfoyle, 99, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Silver Cross Pavilion, Rock Island.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Alma was born on November 18, 1918 in Viola Township, the daughter of William and Anna (Bartelt) Schwab.  She married John J. Guilfoyle on April 5, 1952 at Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, NE.  John and Alma traveled and lived all over the world.  Her favorite place they lived was Las Vegas, NV where she loved gambling at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino.

She is survived by her sister, Leila Grohe; and nieces and nephews, Margaret Kersteter, Kay Kurtz, Carl Poch, Douglas Schwab, Allen Schwab, Patricia Selberg, Rebecca Hammersly, Katharine Bond, Phillip Schwab, Richard Schwab, Raymond Schwab, LaRae Mauser, Judy Kenny, Leslie Schwab, Pamela Gupton, and Angela Stinson.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Roy, Lester, Karl, and Richard Schwab; and sister, Lula Poch.
