Lucille Youd, 92, of Moline, passed away Monday June 22, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00 am Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, with visitation from 8:30 am to service time at the church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be Monday in Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for masses to be said in Lucille's name.
Lucille was born on January 17, 1923 in Taylor Ridge, the daughter of Arvis and Clara (Kerres) Elliott. She married Arthur Ralph Henry Youd on May 1, 1943.
Mrs. Youd had been employed at First National Bank, Rock Island, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of Christ the King Church, Moline and formerly of St. Pius X Church, Rock Island, serving as a Eucharistic Minister at both. Lucille enjoyed growing roses, dancing, playing cards, bingo and visiting with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jo Werner, Chris (Steve) Summers, Lori (John) Carpenter; grandchildren, Lance II, Duane II, Tiffany, Jason, Bryan, Tara, Bree, Aryn, Jake, Adam, Abbey, 23 great grandchildren and a brother, Bernard "Bud" Elliott.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Catherine Ann Youd and a sister, Betty Haas.
