Luke Douglas Smith-VanWinkle, 36, of Milan, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 27, 2023.

Luke was born April 2, 1987, in Moline, Illinois. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Luke enjoyed going to concerts, museums, and playing video games. Luke had his own construction/carpentry business and took a job with a large company. He enjoyed building and fixing things.

Luke leaves behind his daughter, Brie Dickinson; his son, Collin Dillard; grandson, Wesley; grandma, Lydia Carpio; two aunts, Eileen Sanders and Delila VanWinkle; and uncle, Douglas VanWinkle.

Luke was preceded in death by his cousin, Russell Williams, step-grandpa, Robert Carpio, and dad, Gary VanWinkle.

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting Luke's family with arrangements.
