Lynix Kion Smith passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11th, 2023, after a fifteen-month long battle with a rare heart condition.

Lynix was born January 13th, 2022, eleven weeks before his due date to Michelle and Frantz. Since day one Lynix made all his own rules, he was a fighter from the beginning, given less than twenty-four hours to live he overcame and gave his family fifteen sweet short months.

If you ever had the chance to meet Lynix, you know for sure that not far behind him was always his partner in crime most prized possession "Rocky" and his binky attached at the tail. Lynix was curious, joyful and full of expressions. He had a smile that would light up any room and beautiful eyes to match. Lynix loved to dance, listen to his daddy sing, take cozy naps with his mommy, he enjoyed head rubs, playing peek-a-boo, sticking his tongue out, and most of all attention from all of his siblings, cuddling and story time. His favorite shows were Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Pocoyo.

Lynix was a force to be reckoned with and destined for a great future with his personality, even though his time was cut tragically short. Lynix spent more than half of his life in a hospital and within this time from the love and care he received I know he will forever be loved, missed, and cherished.

Lynix is survived by his parents Michelle and Frantz, His siblings Zaelin, Romie, Eliaz, "Fj" Frantz Jr, Rowan, and Demilynn. His Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and his Godmother.

Services will be held at 12pm, Thursday, May 18th, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery.
