Lynn M. Turnbull, 73, of Geneseo, IL, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made in care of Thomas Jefferson School to go towards TJ Boosters, 1307 W 4th St Milan, IL 61264.

Lynn was born February 12, 1953, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Lee and Marjorie (Porter) Turnbull. She graduated from Rock Island High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in education from Western Illinois University where she was a proud member of the Delta Zeta Sorority.

Lynn was a teacher and loved educating young minds. She worked for the Geneseo and Rock Island school districts, retiring from Thomas Jefferson School in Milan.

Lynn lit up a room with her smile, wit, and humor with compassion for all. In her free time, she enjoyed watching movies and television. She also expressed her creative side through latch hook rugs.

Survivors include her brothers, Richard Turnbull and John (Brenda) Turnbull; and nephew, Jordan Turnbull. She was preceded in death by her parents.
