M. Barbara Rowe, 83, of Milan, passed away Saturday October 20, 2018 at home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Burial will be at Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, Ill. Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an Animal Shelter of the donor's choice in Barb's name.
Mary Barbara Rowe was born November 29, 1934 in Wyoming, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond L. and Grace Burns Price. She married Charles W. Rowe in August of 1954 in Peoria, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Barbara was a homemaker, and was employed at the former Bargain Center, Rock Island for 18 years. She also trained, groomed and showed dogs for 20 years. She loved and adored her family.
She was an avid Cardinals and Packers fan. She enjoyed playing cards, outdoor activities, and loved her dog, "Gracy".
Surviving are her children (and spouses), Robin M. Doran, Boone, Iowa, Tracy L. (Bob) Taylor, Rock Island, Ill., Tim R. (Pam) Rowe, Kimberly, Idaho, Dana J. (Rob) Byers, Decatur, Ill., and Kendra L. Syler, Coal Valley, Ill.; grandchildren, Cassy Miller, Alyssa Siders, Elly Doran, Kelleye Taylor, Carly Taylor, Robert Taylor, Lauren Syler, Steven Syler, Michael Smith, Lexi Rowe, Celeste Rowe and Ryan Coffey; great grandchildren, McKynley, Creedence, Layla, Riley, Tayten, Noah, Finley, Jessie and one more on the way; brother, Phillip Price, Wyoming, Ill.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Charles "Pack" Rowe, Jr. and Kent Rowe and infant son, Robert Swanson; infant daughter, Kelly Grace Rowe; great grandson, Sawyer Miller; and brothers, Raymond L. "Bud" Price, Jr., Michael Price and Kenny Price.
