Marcus Antonio Kelly, 34, of Bettendorf, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm (Noon) on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Word of Life Church, 1804 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the church.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Due to CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, all visitors will be required to wear a face mask and social distance.

Marcus was born on June 20, 1986, in Alsberg, Germany, the son of Willard and Marilyn (Reading) Kelly.  He worked for the Blackhawk Hotel and McDonalds.  Marcus enjoyed listening to music, playing basketball and watching sports.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his children.

Marcus is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Charles McCauley; father, Willard Kelly; children, Takais Wright and Myla Kelly; step daughter, Saniya Watson; brothers, JayoVonte Reading, Brandon Kelly, and Kenneth Lewis; grandparents, Joseph and Marsha Reading and Della Kelly; fiancé, Jasmine Watson; favorite aunt, Angie Reading; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and longtime friend "Bestie", Donnesia White.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Taylor.
