Margery June Buckrop, 98, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday, February 19, 2024, at Central Baptist Church, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) Monday at the church. Margery will be laid to rest in Pella, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, Moline.

Margery was born June 2, 1925, in Mahaska County, Iowa, to William and Rachel (Kolenbrander) Van Dusseldorp. She married Carl S. Buckrop on March 15, 1946, in Pella, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1995. Margery was a homemaker and later worked at the Moline Public Hospital. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Moline, where she was very involved. In her later years, Margery enjoyed crocheting. In her early years, she was a Girl Scout troop leader and enjoyed horse riding.

Those left to cherish Margery's memory include her daughters, Ilene Durham and Linda (Bill) Powers; son, Kenneth (Lynette) Buckrop; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janet Buckrop; sisters-in-law, Marge, Sonja, and Gerry Van Dusseldorp; and several nieces and nephews.

Margery was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Darrell Buckrop; son-in-law, Dennis Durham; brothers and their spouses, Carl and Tressa, Gerald and Liz, Wilbur, Arlan, and Elmer Van Dusseldorp; and sister and her spouse, Bernice and Henry Bennink.
