Margie M. Stewart, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home. Per Margie's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in care of the American Heart Association.

Margie was born on July 20, 1932 in Bible Grove, Missouri, a daughter of Alva and Lula Blaine Phelps. Margie attended Beauty School and later opened her own business. She was the owner of the Magic Mirror Salon for 25 years and later became an insurance sales person.

Margie loved to play bingo and take trips to the Jumer's Casino.

Survivors include her husband, Willie; daughter, Brenda (Donnie) Wyatt, Lomax, IL; son, Donald Bruce Shephard, Hannibal, MO; Stepchildren, Renata Stewart, Sacramento, CA, James Durrell Stewart, Meridian, MS; granddaughters, Mandy Wyatt, Shanice McGill, Keshia Stewart; sisters, Alice (Dell) Rubis, Gillette, WY, Shirley Aldridge, Gillette, WY, a special niece, Denisa (Kevin) McReynolds and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
