Obituary

Margo Marin of Davenport died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at age 69 after an extended illness.Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. There is no visitation. Burial is at Hebrew Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities or to Temple Emanuel, Davenport.

Margo was the eldest child of Louis and Dorothy Shaman Marin, both deceased. She is survived by her brothers, Alan and Bruce (Janet) and her nieces, Jaclyn and Allison, all of New York.

Born in Moline on June 7, 1944, Margo had moved with her parents to New York in 1951. She returned to the Quad-Cities as a young adult and lived here the remainder of her life.

Margo had been employed in job-training up until her recent retirement. She was a member of Temple Emanuel. Margo was involved in government and politics, including service as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee of Davenport and participation in the Iowa caucuses and campaigns for state and local offices.
