Marian (Hopkins) Wright-Cavitt, 86, of Rock Island went home to be with The Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021 at home.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Marian was born on July 31, 1935 in East St. Louis, a daughter of Curtis and Izola (Dancy) Hopkins. She married Robert B. Cavitt on December 7, 1984 in Carbondale, IL and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Her many hobbies included crocheting, puzzles, traveling and volunteering. Marian's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and her church community. She was a member of the Community Temple Church of God, Galesburg.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Wright-Jones (Jesse), Dina Wright (William) and Andrea (Ray) Donelson, all of Rock Island; grandchildren, Joseph Wright, California and Monica (Devin) Blount, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Corshaune McDuffy, LaShae McDuffy, Mystazia Hall, Myshaune Dixon, D'Moni Blount and DJ Blount; siblings, Deborah (Vernon) Lowery, Curtis (Ann) Hopkins, David Hopkins, Rhonda Hopkins and Kareal (Idella) Robinson; nieces and nephews, Joanne, Wanda, Vicki, Cynthia, Steven and  Christina; several great nieces and nephews; and god-daughter Stacie (Embra) Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, LaShaune Wright; siblings, Delores Norris, Christine Griffin and Vernell Hopkins; and nieces, Cheryl and Annette.
