Marie E. Stout, 83, of Davenport, formerly of Taylor Ridge, passed away Saturday May 7, 2016 at St. Mary's Health Care and Rehab, Davenport.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.

Marie was born December 27, 1932 in Boston, Mass., a daughter of Carl and Mary Diorio Martino. She married Edwin A. Stout on February 16, 1952 in Boston.

Marie had worked at McCabe's Department Store, B & B Hardware, and McCoullough's Department Store.

She was a former member of the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, and visiting the boats.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin, of Davenport; son, Michael Stout, Davenport; and  grandchildren (and spouses), Justin (Valerie) Stout and Chad (Kayla) Stout, all of Davenport; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Alex, and Kenley.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Larry Stout.
