Marilee A. Dobbins, 72, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at her residence.

The family is having a "celebration of her life" gathering at the Barrel House located at 1321 5th Avenue, Moline, on October 1st from 1 – 3 PM.

Marilee was born on February 11, 1944 in Rock Island, the daughter of Marvin Winston and Marian Vaughn.  She married Daniel Dobbins in East Moline.  She was a Radiology Technician at Trinity-West.

Marilee was always smiling and friendly to everyone. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, her cats and Elvis Pressley. She was a member of St Pius Catholic Church in Rock Island.

Marilee is survived by her children, John (Marie) Dobbins, Park Ridge, IL, Frank Dobbins, East Moline, and Sam Dobbins, Colorado; grandchildren, Ryan and Ethan Shonts, Sean Dobbins, Natalie and Alys Dobbins; brothers, Chuck (Kathy) and Mike (Debbie) Winston; and sister-by-heart, Janis Shippey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Dana Shonts.
