Marilyn J. Fields, aged 85, of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at The Overlook Village in Moline. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Davenport, Iowa, where Marilyn will be entombed alongside her beloved husband, Roger L. Fields, who predeceased her on March 14, 2015. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories. Marilyn was born on December 18, 1939, in Rock Island, Illinois, to LaVerne and Lucille Nigra Bensch. She married Roger Fields on September 21, 1958, in Rock Island, and together they built a loving family. Marilyn dedicated many years of her life as a server for the executive staff at John Deere and Company, where her commitment to excellence and service was deeply appreciated. An accomplished sewing enthusiast, Marilyn was an active member of the Sewing Angels, contributing her talents to complete projects for service men and women. Her passion for sewing reflected her generous spirit and desire to give back to the community. Marilyn leaves behind her beloved sons, Steven Fields and Michael Fields, and beloved daughter-in-law, Tamii Gordy. She is also remembered fondly by her friend and caretaker, Karen Fields. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Marilyn's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, supporting their continued efforts to provide care and treatment for children in need.
